One of the problem associated with conventional crown and bridges is that they block the natural light what makes them lacking the translucency and vitality. In time also the dark area can show on the gum line. Metal free restorations look much more natural. Pure strong porcelain and ceramic bridges, completed without any metallic base, which would block the natural light reflection – a must for natural look, they represent the state-of-the-art replacements of lost teeth not available before. Made by using the newest CAD-CAM technologies and Zirconium base, they bring back total normal functionality, restoring the original anatomical design and beauty. Firmly attached by bonding to the remaining tooth structure, they do to have to be taken out, allowing brushing them right in your mouth and give you the ability to be yourself every time you eat or drink. You will look and feel younger.
Discoloration in Crowns
Most of today’s crowns are made on a strong metal base. The porcelain is later shaped and baked on top of this metal. The area where the crown margin comes close to the gum very may show dark band of metal or be just unpleasantly discolored. This is especially upsetting with the conventional crowns if the gum recedes and if the smile line is high enough and shows this area. While there are techniques to eliminate the metal in the zone that is very important for overall esthetic, there is a newest technology that produces a very strong ceramic base under the porcelain. This produces a restoration as strong as with metal base, beautiful and without discoloration on the gum line even if the gum recedes.
